I can get one for pretty cheap as well, maybe around $50. I guess I can also invest in a very small sound board as well if that solves the USB issue and I’m not opposed to doing so. If I were to get a phantom power box, would it overpower the mic? I’ve seen a guy on YouTube run his XLR-USB cable through a phantom power box and with the mic sensitivity turned down to 1, it was still clipping, which is what I don’t want. Unfortunately I don’t have a sound card, I’m recording off a laptop so I will still need a way to send the audio through USB or 3.5 mm (preferable USB).
